  一. 教学内容

  PEP Book Four Module 4 Unit 2 (新标准英语第四册第四模块第二单元) The weather tomorrow.

  二.教学目标:

  1、能听、说、认读表示天气的单词:hot. cold. sunny. rainy. snowy. windy并能在日常生活中运用。

  2、能理解对话中的天气预报,并能用英语做简单的天气预报。

  3、能听懂、会说句型:It will be windy in Beijing .并能在实际情景中实际运用。

  4、培养学生的注意力、观察力等综合能力,鼓励学生积极思维,挖掘学生们运用语言的创造能力。

  三.教学重难点:

  1、听、说、认读表示天气的单词:hot cold sunny rainy snowy windy

  2、灵活运用重点句型It will be windy in Beijing.

  3、激发学生的学习兴趣和积极思维,促使其快乐体验,成功实践。

  四.教具准备:

  1、教师准备:多媒体课件一套

  2、学生准备:表示天气状况的单词小卡片和城市地名卡片。

  五.教学过程:

  Step 1: Warm – up / Revision (歌曲热身,动画导入)

  1. Greeting: Good morning , boys and girls . Nice to see you again. How are you ?

  2. Let’s sing an English song : London bridge’s falling down.

  3. Let’s say a chant together: This is a little girl.(学生们跟着课件播放出的音乐边做动作边唱和说)

  4.Let’s look out the window. What is the weather like today? (教师做开窗的动作,并引导学生看外面的天气,直接引入主要的教学内容)

  Step 2: Presentation (新授内容)

  1. Teach the words about the weather: hot cold sunny rainy snowy windy weather (呈现新词,图形结合)

  1) Ask the students to watch the CAI, and learn to say the words about the weather.

  2) T does some actions to teach the words: hot , cold.

  3) Play a game: Say out the word as quickly as you see the picture. (看课件快速说单词)

  2.Teach the signs about the weather(游戏操作,引出图标)

  1)Let’s watch CAI carefully, guess the meaning of the sign. (课件显示各种图标,学生们踊跃猜测它所表示的意思)

  2)Play a game: “大脑风暴,玩中练词”(教师利用多媒体课件快速闪过三到四种天气状况的图标,然后让学生快速回忆所见到的图标,并用英语说出单词)

  2. Learn to say the chant to consolidation the words. (巧用儿歌,乐中巩固)

  Hot, hot, It will be hot. Cold ,cold , It will be cold.

  Rainy, rainy, It will be rainy. Snowy, snowy, It will be snowy.

  Sunny, sunny, It will be sunny. Windy, windy, It will be windy.

  1) Watch CAI and listen to the chant.

  2) Watch CAI and follow the chant together.

  3) Have a competition among the groups.

  4.Teach the word : weather. ( 多媒体课件显示各种天气状况的图标,教授“天气”这个单词)

  1)T: Look ,boys and girls. These are all about the weather . Read after me : weather, weather

  2)Today we are going to talk about the weather tomorrow. (课件显示本课的课题:The Weather Tomorrow )

  5. Teach the new sentence pattern: It will be windy in Beijing .

  1) Watch the CAI carefully. Look , where is it? (课件显示出一幅中国地图,且“北京”以小图片的形式出现在地图上)

  2) Show the other places on the map and ask the students to read it out.(出示地图,学习地名)

  3) Look at the map carefully. Let’s guess what ‘s the weather like tomorrow in Beijing? I think it will be rainy. How do you think about it? (引导学生用学过的表示天气状况的单词来猜)

  4) Students try to say with : It will be … … .

  5) Look, who is right? (课件慢慢显示出多云的图标)

  6) Talk about the weather in other cities in the same way.

  7) Ask the students to practise the sentences according to the screen.

  6. Try to make an easy weather report.(天气预报,拓展句型)

  1) (Show a picture of a weather woman from CCTV) Look, do you know her? Yes, she is a weather woman . (多媒体课件出示中央电视台天气预报主持人的形象)

  2)Let’s listen to the weather report carefully.

  3) Listen again and try to follow it .

  4)Ask and answer with the students to practise the sentence pattern.

  5) T acts the weather woman and say the weather report.

  6)Pair work: Acting as the weather man and say a weather report.

  7)Ask some of the student to come to the front and do the weather report.

  7.Play a matching game to consolidation the sentence pattern.(小组合作,玩中竞赛)

  1) Tell the students the rules of the game.

  2)Ask the students to listen and choose the weather words about the city , then ask them to make a weather report in groups.

  3) Ask the students to play the game in pairs and try to see which group is the best one in this period.

  Step 3. Summary and homework (家庭作业,课后延伸)

  Homework:

  1) Teach your parents to say the six words about the weather.

  2) Watch TV and listen to the weather report carefully. Try to make a weather report to your parents.
